Example document I tested with

When I have a .docx file that includes cross references to numbered paragraphs, and those numbers referred to end with a period, this period is included in the cross reference. This was not the case when I was using LibreOffice < 7 and this is also not how it works in Word, where this period is not included. Please find attached the document and a screenshot below with this document opened both in LibreOffice 7.0.1.2. and Word (16.41).

I confirm the described behaviour with

Version: 7.0.1.2 (x64)
Build ID: 7cbcfc562f6eb6708b5ff7d7397325de9e764452
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

but for me this is just the expected result => NAB

But let's see, if there are different opinions.

Additional information:
It seems to me, that you use numbered lists for chapter numbering. Why don't you use the chapter numbering tool itself. I've tested it and cross refeerence doesn't include period after number.

Hello Marco,
I can reproduce the behaviour your are mentioning. However, you said "This was not the case when I was using LibreOffice < 7". I've tried with different versions of LibreOffice and the dot is always there. Which version were you using previously ?
