Description: I am working on a 2600 page document a Bible. I NEED to fix the numbers. Even using the Ask LO help no one could find what to do. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In F & R type numbers in find 2. type in formats that match 3. type in the replacement , LO gives a red answer Actual Results: In Find and Replace put a number, any number. Look at and change the formats, In replace put in a replacement number or add on I wanted a bold number with a parenthesis. LO returns a red circle at the find entry every time no matter how I put it in if it adds a number. Expected Results: LO gives me a red circle (reject) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Looked for all numbers requested and changed as requested.

Created attachment 166071 [details] This is what I am working with. See the verse numbers? Very inconsistant. Also the space between each verse needs to go. This is what I started with : https://ccel.org/ccel/b/bible/c1/cache/c1.txt
I imported the txt file into an empty LO file. LO of course immediately changed it to an odt file. That is OK. But I have very little ability to change things, I really want to change the numbers to bold with a parenthesis and bring far left. Maybe it the previous formatting? You guys know more about this and what the LO can do. Please email if you need more info.
The user indicates that the task is done (by hand). Likely user error. This kind of task really requires knowledge of regular expressions, etc. Also, the task is not really the job of LibreOffice - it is massive find/replace of dumped text to be put into a useable, proper paragraphed form. I will note that I quickly ran out of memory doing a replace-all (particularly with regex of "$" with the text "CARRIAGERETURN".
