The current version of bugzilla used for bugs.documentfoundation.org is old(ish). Specifically, it doesn't support editing comments, as opposed to newer versions (e.g. bugzilla.mozilla.org).

Why not upgrade Bugzilla to a newer version which supports comment editing?

we are waiting for the new major release for quite some time now but it hasn't been published yet
