Did you search before posting? Catalina, duplicate of bug 128233?
Yes, I did search, but 128233 didn’t appear; perhaps I’m not very good with search terms. But, 128233 describes a bug where the dialog box is not displayed at all - my one is fairly different, I think.
This bug is still present in version 7.1.3.2 Can anyone help?

Thank you for trying guys. It definitely still happens to me, so presumably there's something up with my system. But, as I don't get it with any other program, there must be a good chance that it's LO related, I suppose. Is there anything I can do while the hang is happening to try and get some information about what's going on? I know about the existence of Spindump, for instance, but is that what I should use?

If you are using this version then try to reproduce the error here: 7.1.5.2 7.3.0.0.alpha0+
It's present in 7.1.3.2 - I'll try those more recent versions and report back.
This is still happening, (only to me, apparently), in version 7.1.5.2 I took a sample of the process while it was happening, which I can post if it would help.
Created attachment 175202 [details] Process sample of hanging app
This is still hapenning in 7.2.0.4 and nothing remotely similar happens in any other application. I've uploaded a process sample.
This is in principle a duplicate of bugs duplicate of 128233 :) (that bug should maybe be renamed, as I believe a lot of the duplicates refer to similar issues that may not exactly be related to Standard accounts any more) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 128233 ***
I don't think this is the same as 128233. In tha, (and the others marked as duplicates), the dialog bog is described as never appearing. In this case the dialog box does appear, but 'freezes' for about 90 seconds.
That is in principle the same issue (I've tested a bunch of these bugs unfortunately :) ) Some questions: Do you install a language pack? Do you have a standard or admin account? Does the issue go away if you grant LO "Full disk access"?
That is in principle the same issue (I've tested a bunch of these bugs unfortunately :) ) No problem, of course. Some questions: Do you install a language pack? Yes, the British English one. Do you have a standard or admin account? If you mean to the Mac, then it's Admin. Does the issue go away if you grant LO "Full disk access"? I'm running High Sierra, (quaint, I know), so I think this is just always on.

Yes! And removing it stops the reported behaviour. I assume this is still a bug though. The networked volume isn't mounted, (and I can't for the moment mount it - which I'm supposing would also fix the problem). The whole thing shouldn't hang, should it? I'm not trying to write to that volume. Thanks Alex.
