Description Ted White 2020-11-03 21:49:14 UTC
Description:
The file I created in 6.3 has about 9,500 words and 39 end notes. At one stage in my editing I introduced about five footnotes.
When I opened it in 6.4 some of he end notes where displayed at the bottom of a page as if they were footnotes, the remaining endnotes were not displayed in numerical order and were on several pages.
When I replaced 6.4 with 6.3 the file displayed perfectly

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Compose a file with 40 endnotes in 6.3
2.Display it in 6.4
3.Try it again in 6.3

Actual Results:
Displayed OK in 6.3 corrupted as above in 6.4

Expected Results:
Displayed the file correctly both times

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Reverting to 6.3 appears to have solved the problem

Could you create an anonymised version of the document in 6.3 and then attach it to the report? https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission

Btw. it is possible to install multiple versions in parallel https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Windows

Reporter emailed me privately:
"The document had been saved in .doc format. The bug did not recur when I saved it in .docx format and I have moved on to Version 7.0.6 without any recurrence so I think that there is no further need for action."
