Created attachment 167260 [details] Example file from Writer When a docx, xlsx or pptx file is drag n dropped from Windows Explorer to Writer from a remote folder the resulting OLE icon has the full file name displayed, which may result in a very wide OLE icon. Steps to reproduce: 1. Have some longer filenames in a shared folder with UNC name 2. Drag n drop those files into a new Writer document Actual results: OLE icons appear, displaying the full long filenames without any truncation. Expected results: OLE icons appear, displaying full filenames: - either truncated in the middle and putting them in one not too long line - not truncated, broken to multiple not too long lines (similar to Word) LibreOffice details: Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) Build ID: 693553210828538680408832157faad9654758c8 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: hu-HU (hu_HU); UI: en-US Calc: CL

I confirm it with Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 273a25c796fca9afa0dfadac57dc3f336831221c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL BTW: If you drag and drop docx-file from "normal" folder, file format is changed to doc-file (and therefore filename is truncated)
No repro, with a docx file, with the last version of LibreOffice. With a pptx file, the drag-and-drop copy and paste the first slide of the file in Writer.
