While obviously an unrelated bloat, this seems an easy-to-implement thing (using existing mechanism or running system browser with specific URLs). Let the UX team evaluate it.
As a true open and free project we cannot hard-code a Google search (Mozilla receives most of the large income from Google, btw). Wikipedia might be feasible but has its limitation. Second, I don't see the point of a web search for text processors or a spread sheet tools. The principle to keep things simple is always a good advice for usability. If you need to search the web for some information just switch to the browser. And last but not least this enhancement could be done easily per extension. In this case you can try to make a business with LibreOffice by providing the Google search. The recommendation of WONTFIX has been agreed on by the ESC too.
