Description: When the format context menu is invoked, the Default - Swedish (Sweden) numerical formats appear to be needlessly replicated for incremental decimal places. There is a parameter box to define how many decmal places are required. The Format pane also visualises up to fourteen decimal places - amongst others - which are all selectable. I would argue that if a user is manipulating the characteristics of a numerical cell defined in the "Options" portion of the pane then said user probably has half an idea what fourteen decimals looks like. I jumped straight to 7.0.3 from 6.3 and I have only witnessed the obviating transition with Release 7. It is claimed within "Category" that these are "User-defined" but they were certainly never defined by this user. Steps to Reproduce: [Ctrl]+1 OR Right mouse click on any cell and select "Format" Actual Results: See attached .png Expected Results: Only meaningful choices Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.0.3.1 (x64) Build ID: d7547858d014d4cf69878db179d326fc3483e082 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: sv-SE (en_GB); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded

As you can see under the format code it is User-defined, which you can delete clicking on the 'X' button at the right.

Upon reflection, it's quite likely that one of the developers creates the formats as part of their own testing regime and then releases them into the wild as opposed to expunging them when the test is proven. I have noticed anomalies of a similar nature in formats other than numerical. Perhaps a formality to establish the "standard" release formats for a given environment would alleviate the "problem".
What users do, it's never clear. But testing with a clean profile Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode, those format disappear, can serve to verify if it is a bug or not.
Perhaps I could seek your advice. Would that permanently remove all my preferences - everything - from my profile or does a subsequent normal restart return my original profile? I've already discovered some releases are quite destructive of user preferences especially stored sort lists and I'm uncertain I have identified and saved master versions of all my personal preferences. Do I "lose" installed extensions etc.? Thanks in anticipation.
When restarting in Safe Mode there are options to back up/recover the profile and restart with a new clean, also see where the profile is.
That works for me - Thanks
May I ask one more favour? I managed to not save my profile and now I can't get my most important sheet to automatically update external links. Or any update of the external link. I keep getting the popup saying auto-update has been disabled and it won't accept "allow updating". I set Tools> Options> Calc> General Always update from trusted locations and defined a local folder as a trusted source but clearly having discovered how to do it four years ago I'm now a bit older and more forgetful. What have I forgotten?
If I understand find, you can set up trusted folder in Menu/Tools/Options/Security/Macros security - [Tab] [Trusted files] https://help.libreoffice.org/7.0/en-US/text/shared/optionen/01060300.html?&DbPAR=WRITER&System=WIN

However, I have "isolated" the cause of the error and have just finalised an email direct to your inbox. I hope you don't mind because I need further assistance to identify if my report would make any sense to the reader.
