Please detail exactly what formula it is not working.

2=SQRT(4)
2=4^(1/2)
2=POWER(4;1/2)

Tried to use sqrt on LO 7.0._ and works fine.
If you want some fixing you need to provide enough data to find the bug.
So you have to provide a well formatted formula witch doesn't work or upload a file where it clearly crashes.
