Description:
Hello all, thank you for your time and effort

I would like to report this bug where on Libreoffice 7.0.3, whenever I edit a graph, Libreoffice 7.0.3 crashes after sometime editing the graph. It also appears the graphics (i.e moving the graph) is quite unstable as well and relatively laggy compared to Libreoffice 6.4.7. The file which I was editing was an ods file, and I can confirm this happens every time when I try this out. When running on terminal "libreoffice -calc", when the crash happens, this is the output which I receive.

soffice:75449): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 13:53:45.478: gtk_tree_view_scroll_to_cell: assertion 'tree_view->priv->tree != NULL' failed

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::lang::IndexOutOfBoundsException'

It is important to note that I've installed from flatpack, and as we discuss, I'm installing from snap instead (directly from terminal), I'll see if I still have the same issue. For the time being, if the same issue appears, I'll temporarily move back to LibreOffice 6.4.7.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open an ODS file with data and create a graph (or a graph is present)
2.editing the graph as usual, such as changing fonts, bar colors, and other items

Actual Results:
LibreOffice 7.0.3 (calc) crashes

Expected Results:
LibreOffice 7.0.3 calc crashes

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
output from the help section of Calc:

Version: 7.0.3.1 Build ID: 00(Build:1) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 1:7.0.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 Calc: threaded

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

Hello, I've restarted LibreOffice into safe mode to test if this was a user profile issue. From my testing, I still have the same issue an the same error code had been given in terminal.

Hello,

recently updating to libreoffice 7.0.4 seems to solve the issue of calc crashing when editing a graph, but I still do get the following error message on terminal when running:

gtk_tree_view_scroll_to_cell: assertion 'tree_view->priv->tree != NULL' failed

PLease let me know if this is helpful, this error message also happens in safe mode.

it looks like a duplicate of bug 133630. Thanks for rechecking
