Description: Insert a picture into a document, then insert caption to the picture, then save the document as MS docx format. Open the docx with MS Word or other compatible Word processing app, the app just lists responding. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert a picture into a document. 2. Insert caption to the picture, then the picture and the caption are both put into one frame. 3. Save the document as MS docx format. 4. Double click the docx, Windows will open it with default app, for example MS Word. 5. The MS Word will lost responding. Actual Results: The MS Word or other word processing app just lost responding. Expected Results: The saved docx should be opened by MS Word normally. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: A document with captioned picture cannot opened by other Word processing app. It happened in LibreOffice Writer 7.1 RC1, but it happened in other edition before, either.
no repro in 7.1.0.1 nor in 7.2 with MS Word 2007 Can you attach your problem docx here? What MSOffice version do you use?
I use MS Office 2007 and WPS 2019. Both have the reported problem. By the way, If the document was saved as doc instead of docx, it will opened normally by both Word and WPS.
With this Ubuntu PC, I repro a docx document with LibreOffice Writer 6.4.6.2, then open it with MS Office Online, the docx is opened successfully. But the failed openning event did happened in a Win7 + MS Office 2007 + LibreOffice 7.1.0 PC, the PC that I can't access now.

The document was produced from a PC running Windows 7 64-bit, with LibreOffice Writer 7.1 RC1 installed. The document used a chinese template. In the document, a picture was inserted, and the picture was added a caption. With the PC, the document was saved as docx, and the docx couldn't be openned with MS Word 2007. But after be uploaded to MS Office Online，the document was openned successfully. Maybe the problem just happened in MS Word 2007.

Hello Frank, a new major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
Sorry for late comment. Now I use LO 7.3, and I didn't see the problem in recent one year.
