Description: Suddenly, all of the formulae in Calc displayed, instead of their results. For example, I was using ="CCleaner" to avoid having Calc autocorrect it to Ccleaner. Instead of CCleaner displaying in a cell, it said ="CCleaner". And so on for all the other formulae, e.g., =B2*1024, =SUM(G3:G14), =AVERAGE(B2:D2). My PC has 12GB of RAM, 1GB of which is used by the APU (graphics), so it shouldn't have any problems with being low on RAM. I can't recall it. Even so, I closed a couple programs, 3 LO Calc spreadsheets (one of which had several sheets and plenty of calculations), and several unneeded Chrome tabs. I also limited BOINC to using fewer resources in the background (it was already fairly limited). The Calc spreadsheet that I first noticed this issue on was unsaved. So I saved it, and re-opened, and voila. The expected results occurred -- it showed the results of calculations, not the deriving formulae. Even though it went away, this is odd behavior. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use Calc as normal until it occurs. 2. Perhaps, have several LO Calc spreadsheets open, with plenty of formulae. Actual Results: Formulae display as "=..." E.g., =B3*1024 Expected Results: Formulae display as their calculated results. E.g., 2048 Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7 OS: Windows 10 Build 19042 OS is 64bit: yes OpenGL 4.6.14757 Radeon Adrenalin 2020 20.11.2 11-13-2020 DirectX 12.0 Shader model 5.0 Vulkan 1.2.152
There is a switch in Calc that make it show formula instead of the result, and can be turned on/off via menu View > Show Formula or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+` (` is the key to the left of 1 key on an ordinary English keyboard). Since you can not reproduce the problem, it's likely that you pressed the shortcut by accident and turned on this "show formula instead of result" feature. It does not seem to be saved when closing LibreOffice, which explains why saving document, closing and reopening fixed your problem. If you disagree but can not give exact procedures to reproduce the problem, I'm afraid we can't help you much and have to close this bug.
