Same problem mentionned in bug 62196 but using windows 10 and libreoffice 7.3 in my case. Context : one or several instance of libreoffice programs are open (writer, draw, calc...), I work with relatively complex files (professionnal files, with chapters, lists, fields, types, many schemes and legends, etc). step 0 : copy/paste an element A from libreoffice to libreoffice (text, picture, etc). step 1 : copy element B from source which is external to libreoffice (picture from paint, text from pdf file or from website, etc). step 2 : paste the last copy in writer (or draw, or calc) => element A is pasted step 3 : paste elsewhere than in writer (or draw, or calc) => element B is pasted step 4 : paste in writer => element A is still pasted step 5 : trying to copy anything from outside writer into writer => element A is still pasted. step 6 : waiting about 10 minutes and paste again in writer => element B is pasted (!) Problem happens randomly, without any possibility for me to do repeatability tests. All I know is that is happens often after a few hours working on heavy documents, involving interactions between writer, draw and calc. Heavy here is relative, only 8 pages and 10 figures are sufficient to provoke the bug, I can imagine what it will take to write a book. Among other things : I tested shutdown and restart LO programs, it does not get the right pasting faster. It is very difficult to be precise with such a random problem, but it is a daily problem and I am trying to do all my pro tasks with opensource softwares. After a discussion on LO forums (french nable), on argument is that clipboard of LO does not communicate well enough with windows clipboard, or maybe some latent information stays in LO for a while and block all attempt to put a new element in clipboard for a while. But seeing that "a little while" seems to be the solution, I wonder if communication between LO and hardware could be the problem (obviously it is not a windows problem). Hardware I am working with : DELL Precision 7540 laptop, RAM 16 Go, Intel core i7-9850H, windows 10 pro version 20H2. Nable discussion (french) : http://document-foundation-mail-archive.969070.n3.nabble.com/Copier-coller-aleatoire-libre-office-6-4-4-2-win-10-td4290012.html I hope this bug report will find its way to a solution.
