Report is unclear and wrong. What's the source of this DOC? If LO which version? There must be ODT version attached from which DOC is saved. Only then you may at Unconfirmed again.
You should test with LO Fresh version or better with daily master.

.odt version of same failing file.

LO 7.0.4 or 7.1, same thing. So I'm attaching the .odt version, which is also bad the same way.

It exports to PDF just fine in either version. It's only trouble with MS Word or when previewed in hotmail or converted to PDF online.

Look, if you don't want to fix it, that's you - but I think you'd be better off to stop kidding yourself. What happens when you open the file yourselves? If everything is fine, that's most interesting. If it's not, how can it be OK?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download the attached file
2. Open said file with LO, and Word.

Expected: both should have the same data
Actual outcome: the file opened in Word has missing characters.

I think this is an issue with Word? - on my system, document opens perfectly fine in LO, 20 pages, 5417 words. Same for the exported pdf. On Word it's 26 pages, but ~5300 words. The pages might be a formatting issue. I can't do a proper comparison, Word keeps crashing on this specific file.

Peter, Lo is volunteer driven. Can be fixed of you do it yourself, find or pay someone do it, or just wait. But prerequisite is a triage, defining a problem that I'm trying to do.

Key question was how DOC was created, saving in LO as Doc?
And how Odt was created, saving from that Doc?
If so, both are not valid samples. Lo native format is Odt and should be used. Save as Doc is a risk and can be bugged.

I confirm that this Odt opens with 21 pages and repages to 19. Not good but happens with some documents.
Lo saved Doc opens in Lo with 19 pages and in Mso with 3..and Mso is relevant here.
Lo saved Docx opens in Lo with 20 pages and in Mso with 25, due to some empty pages, like 3, 10..another issue because save as Docx is different.

So yes, problem is here but should not be confirmed unless Odt is source document that was first created, before saving to Doc.

I would just mark this as INVALID at this point. It is MS Word that has the problem reading this document, not LO. So unless we have a clean starting document that LO exports improperly, there isn't really anything that can be done.

Thanks Justin.
Closing as a lack of LO created source.
