Description:
after copying in text from another document, the text has the formatting from the original.
applying changes with formatforlage or applying formatting with the brush works only partially or not at all. Colors, italics, etc. are not changed. 

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
as descriped above

Expected Results:
complete transfer of formatting from the style sheet or brush, like it is in microsoft word

There is no proper explanation and sample document. 
From how big was reported, more likely is a lack of knowledge of styles. 
So better please use ask.libreoffice.org and chech guides. 
Bug report is for clear bugs with steps.
