Description: I just started using LibreOffice. I initially started with version 5.4 when I found this bug. I then updated to version 6.4, but the bug is still there. I opened a simple Excel 2003 spreadsheet into LibreCalc. I have a line of centered text that spans 3 combined cells. After opening, for some reason, that line of text is duplicated vertically on the spreadsheet. That vertical text is not in a cell so I don't know what it is. Steps to Reproduce: 1.I opened the spreadsheet and a duplicated piece of vertical text appears. 2. 3. Actual Results: The duplicated vertical text appears. Expected Results: Opening the file without that duplicated piece of vertical text appearing. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I can send the Excel spreadsheet if it helps. I stripped out all the personal information so it is not a problem.
Please attach a sample file, it's the only way to test.
Created attachment 169101 [details] it is an Excel invoice spreadsheet showing the bug
Created attachment 169116 [details] How is seen with Excel-365 How the file is seen with excel-365
Created attachment 169117 [details] How is seen with Excel-365, when selecting the text box to the right. How is seen with Excel-365, when selecting the text box to the right. So it has nothing to do with merged cells. And not sure if it is LibreOffice or Excel open it fine. BTW take care of such a corner case on a very old format, I'm not sure if it's cost-effective.
