Description: I notice "New Line" information is ignored on the presenters display. In the attached example presentation, the 1st paragraph is missing (different display of problem). Ignoring paragraph new line information has the effect of cramming all paragraph information into one giant run-on sentence. This is distracting during a presentation. Example ODP, Editing image, and Presenting image attached. Otherwise, I am absolutely delighted with 4K screen Impress Slide Show performance improvements. These improvements make presentations possible using Impress on modern 4K office presentation equipment... great work so far! Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open the example ODP document 2.Set View to "Notes" 3.Notice nicely formatted presentation Notes 4.On a dual monitor setup start "Slide Show->Start From First Slide" 5.Make sure "Notes" are selected in the presenters display 6.Notice, a paragraph is missing, or in some presentations all paragraphs are present but formatting removed to create one giant run-on sentence. Actual Results: As described in "Steps to Reproduce" Expected Results: Notes formatting on the presenters display should match Notes formatting on the Presentation Editing page. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.0.4.2 (x64) Build ID: dcf040e67528d9187c66b2379df5ea4407429775 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

For formatted notes there's https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47825. Let this one be for missing Paragraph 1 (which may be related to missing format, but I can't test myself to see the connection; if explained it may be duplicated).
Yes, I am experiencing both issues, missing paragraph and unformatted text. As for reproducing, I'll upload a snapshot of hardware/OS information. It's a MS SurfaceBook; primary display 3240 x 2160 @60Hz 8-bit RGB. Second screen is a 4K 50" Samsung Q80 TV running 3840 x 2180 8-bit RGB @30Hz through a SurfaceBook docking station. Adapter driver type listed as Intel UHD Graphics 620.

Cannot reproduce with Version: 7.6.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 60(Build:3) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+wayland) Locale: en-GB (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US 7.6.0-3 Calc: threaded @craig, can you try to see if the first paragraph is still missing when using the latest version of LibreOffice?
I had 7.4.7.2 installed when I tried to test today. It works, paragraph 1 and 2 are visible on both a dual screen 1080p system and 3 screen 4K setup. I upgraded to LibreOffice 7.5.6.2 and repeated the tests on both systems. Again, all text displays. What I also notice is there is no spacing between paragraphs, when there is spacing (blank lines) in the notes. Hard to say if this is a “feature” or not, but it is a difference between notes and what is displayed as notes in the presentation. Sometimes blank lines can bring greater clarity to the notes, especially in high pressure presentation scenarios. Maybe a switch to suppress blank lines for higher density or don't suppress for greater clarity? Anyway, the situation from when this bug was reported is greatly improved, as nothing is “missing”.
Thank you, Craig. I will close this bug. The issue with the missing line breaks (and other basic formatting) is tracked by bug 47825.
