Font rendering and painting stuff on screen mysterious.. I put this in the list of
Bug 103322; Bug 138919; Bug 139296

Doubt a little if this actually a rounding issue.. based on bug a above I would say something is quirky with size of the canvas.. Pixel left/right/ top down being marginally off (scroll position involved?) So frame is painted without 'exact' position.. could again be a rounding issue.

But well no experience with scroll 'tics' and dimensional aspects (TWIPS?) and the whole re-painting.

Sorry, Telesto, but I don't understand, what video should show. And I can't see, that anyting happens, if I mark a word, a sentence or a parapgraph.

Tested with

Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 28555fc345ac2ccdda0e4e0f3c812c646befe68b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

After step 2 I could see the a shift to the left at a zoom level 120% for the following characters
"d" in second word
"f" in third word
"e" in cadre

After step 4 I could see the a shift to the right at a zoom level 120% for the following characters
"q" in third word
"da" in dans
"adr" in cadre"

Version: 7.2.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 02b2acce88a210515b4a5bb2e46cbfb63fe97d56
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL

I would treat it as a duplicate of bug 140740.

Hmm at zoomlevel 95% everything will shift with 3.5.7.2 when entering the document.. After that it's stable.
Not happening in LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3

I'm not sure what to see, Telesto, please retest, if the bug is gone, mark this as dupe of bug 144862.
Comment 9 Telesto 2022-08-21 07:41:07 UTC
Comment 0 and comment 5 are about different things; so bugs got mixed. I will open a new bug if needed. Comment 0 is still present, but similar to Bug 140738.
