Description:
As the title says. The key works correctly on Slides, but changes meaning in notes (!). Can't type can't correctly, it will say can‹t

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Switch keyboard to Swiss German
2.View>Notes
3.Type an Apostrophe in the notes (it's the key to the left of the key that is left of Backspace, the one to the right of the 0 key.

Actual Results:
types ‹

Expected Results:
types '


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No

How can this field be mandatory? I have nothing to add.

Adjust your Tools-> AutoCorrect -> AutoCorrect Options and adjust the 'Localized Options' panel for Single Quotes.  Either uncheck the 'Replace' box, or select a character different than the de-CH locals < and > for start and end quote.

Thank you very much @V_Stuart_Foote, that helped.

I still think this is a bug as

a) I can't write can't, and I should be able to, as the apostrophe is not in a start quote position.

b) it works differently on slides and on notes in the same presentation

c) ‹is the single start quote for Swiss French, not for Swiss German.

1. open system preferences > keyboard > input sources and select "Swiss German"
2. type "can't"

Currently
can't, while using key right of "0" as per keyboard layout.
