I am familiar with creating hyperlinks to headers in a document, using the button on the toolbar. But I have a problematic situation. In my document I have over 1000 headers. So when I open the hyperlink dialogue > Document and click the icon to the right of Target, the whole list of headers is given in a very small window, and to find the one I want to link to could take a minute or two, so it's very time-consuming. Here's my case: I have a list of words (a kind of contents page but the list is in paragraph format and their are about 20 lists as well) and each word needs to be hyperlinked to a header in the document. Using the hyperlink dialogue for 1000 headers would drive me insane. I suggest: add ability to make *selected text* a hyperlink by dragging a header from Navigator. Currently the options for dragging headers to the doc allow creation of hyperlinks but the header text is inserted, which I don't want. if this is not clear pls send questions, thanks

I suppose you are talking of headings and not headers. > So when I open the hyperlink dialogue > Document and click the icon to the > right of Target, the whole list of headers is given in a very small window, > and to find the one I want to link to could take a minute or two, so it's > very time-consuming. You should use hyperlink dialog for hyperlink to another document. If you want to link to a heading within the same document you should insert a cross reference (Insert => Fields => More Fields => Cross References). In the dialog you can search for a certain heading? Does this solve your problem? => NEEDINFO
