Created attachment 169718 [details] Writer notebookbar styles widget freezes Bug in setting headings settings “freezes” and cannot be used anymore. Hello all, After applying some headings (about 7 in total) in Libreoffice 7.1.1 rc 1, the styles widget in the notebookbar configuration “freezes” and other styles cannot be selected anymore. Therefore, it is not possible to complete an index. The only solution is to close the document and open it again. Then the new styles can be selected again, but again, after adding some headers, the widget freezes again. See the screenshot: I want to insert a new header in my document, but the styles widget is “frozen” at the Text block widget and cannot be changed anymore. In another document, the same problem occurs, only then the styles widget freezes at “Standard” I apllied some screenshots as well. This problem occurs as of Libreoffice 7.1.0. Of course, it is only small problem, but also annoying. I hope someone is able to resolve the problem quickly..
Please test with a clean profile Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
Unfortuneately, it is not possible to test this bug in safe mode: LO 7.1.1 does not start.
Then there it's a problem with the installation. After set up a clean profile. Uninstall the program. Reinstall it again.
Thank you for your reply. First, the problem occured when upgraded from LO 7.0.4 rc2. So, I did full new install of LO 7.1.1 rc1. The problem of the freezing widget is still there. To indicate further: the selecttion box freezes around the "standard-style" or the "textbox style". Swiping left or right to see other styles is possible: selecting them is not possible. The only solution is to close te file and re-open it again. Then it is possible to select some different styles, after that, the selection of styles is frozen again. Thanks for the swift replies. Did a fully clean install on other Windows 10 machine.. Results are unfortuneatly the same. After using about 10 different styles (headings,to create index), the widget freezes again. As reporter earlier, only solution that works so far is closing the document and reopening it again..
I have tested again, and I can't see the issue. Can you attach a sample file with detailed step on how to reproduce the problem. To be sure it is not a graphics issue, please play a bit with Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/View - Graphics Output.
