Description JP 2021-02-23 15:35:44 UTC
Description:
This is a repeat of: [Bug 140591] Column width not being preserved. You asked for a sample file, but your system will not accept my email response.

I have now created a spreadsheet called “test” which is attached. The appropriate cells were filled with numbers, after which the column width was set as 1.9cm. Having saved and then re-loaded the spreadsheet a couple of times, the column width has shrunk to 1.84 and the contents of the cells are now larger than the column width.

Steps to Reproduce:
.

Actual Results:
1.Create a spreadsheet and fill cell with data
2. Set column width slightly above the optimum.
3. Repeatedly save the spreadsheet and reload it.

Expected Results:
The column worth gradually shrinks. In my example it seems to shrink by 0.02 cm on each reload.

Reproducible: Always

I changed the column width to 1.9 cm, saved and reloaded, but the width stayed the same. Please re-test with a current version. I have to say that I could not reproduce even with 7.0.
