Description:
Font change after inserting symbol (from different font)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Type "Hello "
3. Press the special symbol icon in the toolbar
4. Pick font OpenSymbol
5. Double click a symbol of your choice
6. Notice font 'LibreOffice Serif' -> expected
7. Undo/Redo -> Font OpenSymbol (wrong)

1. Open Writer
2. Type "Hello "
3. Press the special symbol icon in the toolbar
4. Pick font OpenSymbol
5. Double click a symbol of your choice
6. Notice font 'LibreOffice Serif' -> expected
7. Arrow left/arrow right.. -> Font changes to OpenSymbol 

1. Open Writer
2. Type "Hello "
3. Press the special symbol icon in the toolbar
4. Pick font OpenSymbol
5. Double click a symbol of your choice
6. Notice font 'LibreOffice Serif' -> expected
7. Press backspace.. -> Font changes to OpenSymbol -> Dislike this. As 'symbols' having special status for me. Being 'symbol' not font affecting

Expected Results:
Well not really liking this, but obviously going into an area where I'm told that this kind of 'trouble' caused because this isn't handled.. Formatting linked to previous.. item.. I'm pretty sure I reported this in different consternation before

I perceive this a bug.. but well. MSO 2003 thinks this being perfectly normal.

#6 is wrong; the inserted character has the selected font- and if placed at the end of the paragraph this font will be used for further input. Don't see what we can/should change here.

If you see it that way, indeed; would be consistent. Not sure if it would be appreciated though

Waiting here another week and will resolve this NAB then.
