Hello, it looks like pasting of text fields no longer works in the latest LO Base release version. If some text is pasted into a text field it gets delete as soon as the focus is moved to a different field. It looks like LO doesn't see the field as modified and reloads the previous value. If some char is added by keypress just after pasting the pasted text is retained, even if the added char is deleted immediately after adding it. This happens only with text fields, numeric fields work as expected. Bye, Denis Sbragion
Thank you for reporting the bug. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
Sorry, my fault in selecting the LO version while opening the bug. I'm already using version 7.1.1.2, I fixed it. Some more info: the problem happens only if the paste operation is performed by keyboard, i.e. Ctrl-V or Shift-Ins, or by selecting "Paste" from the main menu. It doesn't happen if "Paste" is selected by right clicking on the target field.
Tested this with LO 7.1.2.2 on OpenSUSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux. Pasted content with Ctrl + V to a text box, moved to next row, moved back. The content will be saved. So might be a special Windows bug?
Hello Denis, Could you please try to reproduce it with version 7.1.3.2 of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
Hello Xisco, unfortunately things have not changed with this new release. The bug is still there, with the same behaviour. Setting back to UNCONFIRMED. Bye, Denis Sbragion
Hello, just to let you know that with the latest LibreOffice release (7.2.4.1) this bug has disappeared, so it has been fixed in some way. Changing status to RESOLVED/FIXED. Bye, Denis Sbragion
