Created attachment 170393 [details] My edited file I use the /usr/share/applications/libreoffice-startcenter.desktop launcher in Ubuntu Hirsute as my one and only LO launcher. I have to edit it and comment out the line that says "NotShowIn: GNOME" in order to get it to appear in the taskbar. Yesterday there was a major rollout of LO updates and my edit was reverted. Please edit your version of the stock file to match mine. I realize this is a GNOME preference that may or may not originate from LO. I am asking that you supply them with the corrected file. In my opinion (and I have been using LO/OOO since 2002), this option should be available to the end user. Thanks, Coby
Looks like this was done by design on Ubuntu's side: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1696250 Others seem to have the same frustration: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1287906/how-to-add-the-libreoffice-startcenter-to-the-dash https://askubuntu.com/questions/1138567/cannot-add-libre-office-start-center-to-favourites https://askubuntu.com/questions/1299050/libreoffice-math-is-invisible Closing as "not our bug". Something to discuss on Ubuntu's side, but I see you have already done so: https://www.mail-archive.com/ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com/msg18777.html
