anything either from web or other documents or even the same document when I try to paste paste is greyed out and won't paste. I can't paste elsewhere (emails,notepad, etc.) but not to your Office Writer. This is almost enough for me to try something else out as this is much needed function by me.
This is in general wrong report, without repro steps. But this is known bug, with many reports in Bugzilla. Some are for no paste like Bug 136175 and one for previous content bug 62196. You should have searched first. Now that you didn't, there was a fix to land in LO 7.1.2. So, wait and grab that one and write your experience than.
