Description Dick Moutray 2021-04-11 03:12:06 UTC
Description:
I set up Writer to load and save files to a specific folder.
Next, I have to work a spreadsheet so I load a file from spreadsheet folder, work on it and finally, save it.
Some time later, I need to change the Writer file or create a new one so I go to File Open but now I am presented with the spreadsheets Folder.
How can I assign specific folder for Writer files and another specific folder for Calc files just like I can in MS Office?

Actual Results:
1. Save a Writer file to specific folder for Writer files.
2. Save a Calc file to a different specific folder for Calc files.
3. Open the Writer file saved a short time ago.

Expected Results:
After completing the first two tasks I try item 3. to open the Writer file but Writer is looking in the folder for Calc files.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Writer should remember where its files are saved and Calc should remember where its files are stored . . . . just like MS Office does.

It has been decided on bug 59764 to keep one path since the common workflow is to store documents from different modules together per task.
