Description tonyk1321 2021-04-23 22:04:47 UTC
Description:
After starting the program, clicking on the Text Box icon allows you to insert a text box somewhere in your doc, but if you click on the icon again, you cannot add a text box.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.If click on the Text Box, you get a cursor that lets you insert a text box but only the 1st time after you restart the prog. After that, if you click on that icon, nothing happens, and the cursor stays the move cursor. If you ignore that, and click on the area where you want to insert the box, then then whole image moves.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
No text box the 2nd time.

Expected Results:
Text box everytime you click on the icon.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This also happens if you select the Text Box option in Insert or you press F2.

Please go to Help > About, click on the 'Version Information' icon. That puts the version information into the clipboard. Then paste it here.

Are you sure, you have left edit mode before trying to insert the next text box?

I just did it again with version 7.1.1.2. Maybe it depends on the file that you are editing. But I do not understand what you meant be exiting edit mode. The 1st time I insert a box, it works. After I enter in some text, I click outside the box to not have it selected anymore. Then I click on the add text box icon, and it does not change to the cross. It stays as a hand.

I just tried it with vers 7.1.4.2, and it now appears to be working. Thanks for fixing this.
