Description David W. Snow 2021-05-05 22:14:10 UTC
Description:
In 7.1.2.2 Writer's sidebar has a grayed-out Navigator Icon. In the hamburger menu, the other functions are list but not Navigator.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look at the sidebar, see the grey Navigator icon
2. Look at the Hamberger menu above the sidebar, see that Navigator is missing
3.

Actual Results:
A grey Navigator icon
Navigator missing from the menu

Expected Results:
a working toggle for Navigator

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It looks like someone half-implemented making Navigator part of the right pane. I think that this would be a great idea, especially for small-screen systems like my 13" MacBook Air.

Can not confirm. The Navigator deck is present on the Sidebar's Tab bar, and also on the Sidebar's "hamburger" menu (an elipsis icon on Windows builds).

Version: 7.1.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 47f78053abe362b9384784d31a6e56f8511eb1c1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Please fully identify your os/DE and the LO release you are working with, from the Help -> About LibreOffice menu item.

Also, the Sidebar's menu has a 'Customization' -> 'Restore Default' action give that a try. Also, you might test from a SafeMode restart to see if it is a user profile issue. From main menu Help -> Restart in SafeMode

macOS 11.3 on 2020 MacBook Air (M1) 8GB
LibreOffice 7.1.2.2 with language tools extension and zotero installed.

Safe Mode seems to make it work!
Creating a new user profile appears to work. I'll have to reinstall the extensions to see if they are part of the problem.
