Description Ulrich Windl 2021-05-10 10:25:10 UTC
Having opened a second window, and then using the navigator to select a section via numbered heading, the following happened:
In the current (second) window only the heading itself was selected, while in the other (first) window the rest of the section was selected.
When printing the selection from the first window, the heading was missing. So it's not just a display bug.
My assumption is that a selection is across window views.

In case it might matter: The document had "track changes" on, but the section in question had been completely "committed" (i.e..: no pending changes).
Comment 1 Ulrich Windl 2021-05-10 11:15:45 UTC
It seems the problem is either not easily reproducible, or it depends on more factors:
The section is question was a level 4 (a.b.c.d), and it had level-5 sub-sections that were "unfolded". Trying the selection again with the sub-levels "folded", I could not reproduce the issue.
Still possible however is that the problem is related to committing tracked changes shortly before trying the selection.
Tracking changes and selections sometimes react a bit odd...

Sorry for the late response: Checking with 7.3.6.2 (x86) on Windows 10 the problem seems fixed. Actually it seems that both windows have their own selection now (unsure whether that was intended, but that's how it looks now).
I also noticed (that may be a different bug): If a numbered heading is followed by a table directly, then selecting the heading via navigator selects only the heading, but not the table.

Thanks for answer anyway. Let's close this one as WFM then.
