Description:
funational enhancement/improvement to select program to open link in spreadsheets while clicking on it showing a window

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select a cell, and press F2 and type abitary characters
2.click on insert and click on hyperlinks, select document
3.enter a path
4.click on ok

Actual Results:
everytime you have opened links, the program opening your files is not what you want.

Expected Results:
i want to select ebook readers to open links. i can use any other ebook reading program as being wanted.

Please check what program is associated on the OS with this type of application. In case of Linux/KDE it is System Settings > Personalization > Applications > File Association.

We clearly cannot duplicate the complete list of file association. And just picking ebook is pointless as the next user might want to change the epub viewer. The question is whether you want/need to do it in one particular application rather than globally.

Plus, I'd have security concerns when random application can be started from LibreOffice.

Putting all together I think we should not add such an option (please reopen if you disagree and/or with more details).

A related topic is bug 87714 asking for an image editor. However, in this case the image is not loaded as file.
