BACKGROUUND Calc file contains an elevated number (50+) of DDE links (financial assets) that are updated at as it what seems to me a high rate of data (hundreds per second?) that (since many are within chains of formulas, calculations, conditional formats etc.) overload the software, making it crash/stop at times. PROBLEM Now after a crash (probably because simultaneity with a formatting procedure in the spreadsheet) the DDE links stopped working altogether after relaunch. ADDITIONAL SUGGESTION Independently of the problem above (crash and subsequent DDE dysfunctionality): the rate of data influx from DDE probably should be adjustable (N times per second) by the user to avoid overload. Thank you,
Without a sample file it's impossible to try to test what it's happening. So please attach a sample file as short as possible to reproduce the issue, and add the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice to know you OS and basics about LibreOffice configuration.
Thanks so much for the reply - and sorry, I am really just an user without much technical knowledge. What is the sample file you need? The Libreoffice Calc file I am working with perhaps? OS is windows 10.
