Description thomas.engels 2021-05-30 16:51:35 UTC
Description:
I run LO under Fedora 33 with wayland.
Drag and drop from the filebrowsers is completely broken and results in dangerous unexpected behavior. This is a critical problem: if one drags and drops an image to a presentation, and just something random happens, then this is a serious problem for presenters

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an LO Impress presentation under linux/wayland (in my case Fedora 33)
2. Drop and image to it
3. Observe errors

Actual Results:
Weird, unexpected errors: Slides are deleted, duplicated, inserted from other files, etc. Seems to be related to old clipboard content.

Expected Results:
I expect to include the dropped image in the slide

Reproducible: Always

I have now tried several times and sometimes it works as planned, sometimes not. it may be a bug in wayland / GNOME rather than LO

Many Wayland fixes happened since 7.0. Could you please test with 7.3?
