Description Tracey 2021-06-23 17:23:30 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice Writer – Issue with the [Paragraph Selection] section status bar
When clicking on the [Paragraph Selection] section, the icon stays the same, but if I move the mouse pointer away from the [Paragraph Selection] section then move the mouse pointer back to the [Paragraph Selection] section, the tool tip changes (Standard, Extending, Adding, and Block)
        ◦ In the thefrugalcomputerguy’s tutorial on LibreOffice v3 Writer, the text in the [Paragraph Selection] section switches between: STD, EXT, ADD, BLK showing visual evidence of the change.

Thanks, Tracey

Actual Results:
When clicking on the [Paragraph Selection] section, the icon stays the same, but if I move the mouse pointer away from the [Paragraph Selection] section then move the mouse pointer back to the [Paragraph Selection] section, the tool tip changes (Standard, Extending, Adding, and Block)

I can't confirm it with

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 949658028e722e5d2657b503eb20e16e41dbd8cf
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win

Tooltip is always "Standard selection. Click to change selection mode."

It seems there was a recent change. In 7.1.4 there is no change, but in 7.3 I see the icon changes according to the selection mode. Also, now you left-click and select the mode from a menu.

Please try Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html It installs separately and will not mess with your stable version.

Yes, LibreOfficeDev 7.3 does correct the problem.
