DOCX Ruler Indentation by Icons for spacing

I have been using LibreOffice since it was called Open Office. I have been using version .1.4.2 for 2 days. I created a file using Writer's default template with pre-formatted text in DOCX format.
Then I changed styles Title 5 and 4 in addition to "body text". I changed page margins to 0.40 cm (top, bottom, right and left).
After changing with mouse, dragging marker on the horizontal ruler, only from page 4 onwards, the whole document was indented as if it was obliged to indent with 5 sublevels from the 1st item on the 1st page.
In fact, it is indented from page 4 onwards.I just need to decrease the size of the indentation. From 1.25 cm to 1 cm. This forces me to re-count from the beginning of the document. What a bad idea!
Conclusion: the file was recovered after sending report to Crash Reporter via ID:

P.S.1: While editing, there were 15 tabs open in Mozilla Firefox version 89.0.2, one of the tabs being an 80 page PDF file. Opened 2 days ago to date.

P.S.2:Opened 2 days ago to date.

The text being edited is this, stylized with the same colors and text formatting:

Seems you are mixing Styles and DF (setting paragraph indent via the default TAB stops at 1.25cm).

Use Styles as intended and add the additional sytles you need to use for page 4 onward, adjusting each style from the Paragraph Style dialog 'Indents and Spacing' tab.

Adjusting the
'Before text'

'First line'

values.

You can also stay with Direct Formatting, but you probably would need to adjust the global tab stop from 1.25cm (.49") to the 1.00cm you'd like--done from Tools -> Options -> LO Writer -> General in the 'Tab stops' field.

But adding (clone & modify existing) the additional Paragraph Styles will give you the layout control you need--and will behave better round trip from native ODF to OOXML of .docx
