Description unkle.stephen 2021-07-14 19:23:01 UTC
Description:
On Build ID: 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 running on Linux Mint 20.1 or 20.2, I cannot use my mouse to slide the vertical scroll. Mouse wheel works fine but no good for big number of lines.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load a file.
2.Place mouse over vertical scrollbar 'handle' and hold down left mouse button.
3.Slide mouse up or down.
4.Note that file doesn't move.

Actual Results:
File does not move at all.

Expected Results:
File should scroll easily up and down.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
I note that this problem very occasionally vanishes for a brief time. It
can behave like the computer is under a huge load and can spare only a cycle or two for scrolling. I wasn't so lucky today. But today, in a unique occurrence, I closed the search under the sheet and the scrollbar handle suddenly illuminated and I was able to move it. Five seconds later, things were back to normal and I could not repeat this trick.
To clear the problem, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole Libreoffice Suite, using the software manager provided in Linux Mint 20.1. Then I tried upgrading to Linux Mint 20.2. Nothing changed in either case.
The particular file I was looking at had about 8000 lines, mostly just static numbers, very few formulas.

1. That option doesn't exist. (Only hardware acc and anti-aliasing.)

2. I discovered a WORK-AROUND. If I press the mouse scroll-wheel instead of the left button, the scrolling works properly. However, I don't see any way to change this to the left mouse button.

Please paste here your version information from LibreOffice's Help - About (in 6.4, click the text and Ctrl-C)

Do you see the problem also with 7.2, if you try with an appimage: https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/

For the record, I can not reproduce
