Description Andrew Wetmore 2021-07-23 12:50:51 UTC
I am building the table of contents for an e-book (I have done this more than 20 times, across several LO releases, and the behaviour has been consistent). I select the insert-hyperlink tool and select Document. For Target I select Headings.

I am using the H2 entries in the document as the targets of the table of contents, and linking them is quite straightforward.

HOWEVER, I have to open the Headings accordion to get to those H2 headings. After I have set a few hyperlinks, or maybe one, the accordion collapses and I have to open it again and find my way down to the heading I was working on when it collapsed. Sometimes the thing closes a second time before I have been able to set even one more link. I am editing books with fifty or sixty chapters, and the tool's behaviour makes this task painful and error-prone.

If there is a timeout on this tool, it should be disabled. The thing should stay in the state I put it in, without refreshing, until I close the tool,.
