Description L Duperval 2021-07-30 19:30:18 UTC
Description:
In Word, you can select what level of markup to see.

They have a version called simple markup that shows redlines in the margin and highlights additions, but doesn't show what was there before.

It makes it easier to see what the final version will look like without all the distractions of things that are "removed."

But if you want to see those details, you can choose to show "All markups."

My request is to implement something similar in Writer.

Steps to Reproduce:
Start track changes

Actual Results:
No simple markup possible.

Expected Results:
Add support for Simple Markup, All Markup (current implementation), and No markup (current implementation).

Word also allows viewing the original document (before changes). That would be cool too, but should maybe be a different feature request.

Reproducible: Always
