Description: I haven't found a way to enter data as "5+2" or "8*7" and have it evaluated in a field in the Base forms. I would like to know if it is possible to do it. If it isn't, I think it would be an improvement. It would be great if it would be possible to select the way the data is stored and shown. For example, stored as "5+2" or "7" and shown as "5+2" or "7". Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info:
You could set a query instead of a table as data source for a form. Queries could calculate the values you want. But you have to input the values in different fields, if you will use the calculation in a form. This doesn't work during input a new row. So you could only see the result in an existing row.
There you have it. It would be an enhancement yo be ABEL to do it in a simple way.

Such a feature doesn't exist in a simple way. So it is a new ask for enhancement. One hint: There a many asks for enhancement since a long time (nearly 200 for Base). Best is to find a developer, who will work for it: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/buglist.cgi?bug_severity=enhancement&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=NEEDINFO&component=Base&list_id=1339723&product=LibreOffice&query_format=advanced
