Created attachment 174770 [details] Screenshots for comparison (TextMaker, Word, LO) At the moment there is no usable office suite on Android tablets apart from TextMaker which shows the same Desktop-UI as on a laptop. But on a tablet in landscape mode even word shows a much more usable UI than Libreoffice. The Libreoffice UI on a tablet in landscape mode is the same as on a phone in Portrait mode. However an Android tablet is basically a Laptop, certainly not a phone (especially if the table has a keyboard and is used in landscape mode). The UI of LO as it is now is less than useful: it not only doesn't make good use of the available space - it makes very bad use of it (just open the hamburger-menu). Even if the features where there, the UI makes LO unsuitable to even write short, very simple documents Please allow to completely disable the oversimplified mobile UI in favor of the normal Desktop UI (if possible) or optimize the UI for use as a professional Text-Editor. Make use of the available space and don't treat a tablet as a phone. Attachements: comparison of the main screen of TextMaker, Word and Libreoffice (if one opens menus in Libreoffice the UI actually gets worse)
Can't confirm. TDF does not maintain or distribute an Android build of LibreOffice. And, Collabora's "Collabora Office" for Android 6.4.3 on an Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10", Android 8.1.0) in landscape has Notebook Bar layout at least as functional as that of TextMaker or Word you show. Not clear what program your screen clip of "LibreOffice" on Android represents, but it does not look to be Collabora's--which is the only viable development amongst the LibreOffice ecosystem on Android. And which has TDF sanction to do so. Please retest with current release available via the Google Play Store.
Oh, and just realized your screen clip is showing the document in read mode UI. You need to click the blue pen icon in lower right to toggle into edit mode. You should see a more complete UI at that point ;-)
