Description: I used LO for my first paper embedding in LOw odt pictures and LOs ods tables, and the Zotero connector for references. BUT all the tools to publish or the requisites ask for docx to import or send. (Some PR is needed). Also, I found that Authorea - a online editing tool - has more templates than LO for pre publishing, and an easier way to cite. My FEATURE REQUEST is 1.- To configure an integration with Zotero and other bibliography FOSS to make as easy as in Authoera to cite adding features as sorting references by order of apparition or alphabetically, save document references to a zotero folder, or LObase, and more. 2.- To configure a "paper templates" plugin with most common ones, and an easy way to configure and or export the same document with different templates. 3.- Some PR to allow Authorea, manuscript and similar online paper editors - pre publishers to import from OASIS documents in particular select individual sheets from LOs ods or even import all the odt including references. If done, with a small PR effort, college papers will start to be written with LO o Collabora Office, and asked in this format with the name and version of their template, as we have now to convert to docx but in an opposite direction. Or if not, a lot of people would write all in LOw odt and as now export to Latex and or docx at the end. Thanks in advance for considering doing this add ons or plugins. Actual Results: docx is the king Expected Results: odt will increase its use in colleges Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Authorea is the web to watch in templates and cites - LOw is much better editing - -

There has been work recently to improve the integration with Zotero: https://vmiklos.hu/blog/sw-zotero-plumbing.html > 2.- To configure a "paper templates" plugin with most common ones, and an > easy way to configure and or export the same document with different > templates. I wonder, if this would help: there is now integrated functionality to connect to the Extensions & Templates site from within LibreOffice itself. See: https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/guide/template_manager.html Note: you need to open a LibreOffice application first (this will not work from Start Center). Then, File - New - Templates - Manage - Extensions. > 3.- Some PR to allow Authorea, manuscript and similar online paper editors - > pre publishers to import from OASIS documents in particular select > individual sheets from LOs ods or even import all the odt including > references. If you mean that LibreOffice developers should contribute to Authorea, I think it might be unlikely. I'm setting this to needinfo to wait for your feedback. Another note: a report should only have one topic/issue.
