Description: To Whom It May Concern: Beginning just two days ago, I suddenly no longer have the ability to copy what would be even basic text content, over to a LibreOffice document. Rather than performing what would seem to be a most basic function, this simple feature (which previously operated in a satisfactory fashion) has suddenly stopped working as expected. In a Senate Committee hearing a few months ago, media servers Google (Google and YouTube), Facebook (Facebook and Instagram) and Twitter were providing the Senate Committee with information pertaining to their access, use and censorship of user content. The hearing was addressing several security and censorship concerns that users along with government representatives, had identified as being needful to further investigate, as related to accessing and utilizing these platforms. Does LibreOffice provide cooperative action with any of these organizations, or independently, in such a way that would contribute to the compromise of LibreOffice user privacy, LibreOffice application functionality, or any form of censorship mechanisms (or accommodation thereof)? This sudden problem with the basic functionality of my LibreOffice - which I had previously been very pleased with - is certainly a matter of great concern to me, as normal tasks and functions which would be common, and general purposes for which I might utilize LibreOffice, no longer seem to be functional for me. Further, when choosing to use any application or platform, this is done with a reasonable level of trust in the integrity of a company and all operators, and in the appropriateness of decisions being made by such; in order to ensure that my privacy as a user is maintained, that my rights as a consumer to utilize a platform or application is without undue and/or inappropriate actions of a company and/or operators, and that the general use of the application or service remains operational, and is satisfactorily maintained. Beyond this greatest concern, there seems to be no reasonable explanation for there to be a sudden malfunctioning in the operation of this standard feature, as it is a feature that is common, and not complex. Is this happening to other users that may similarly be experiencing difficulty? What trends have been observed by other users, if so? Thank you very much. Sincerely, Rebecca Kiel Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy text content. 2. Paste text content. 3. Actual Results: When copying and pasting even the most basic text content into a LibreOffice document, the function is not successful. This is a very recent change. Previously, I was able to copy and paste anything needed for either my work or leisure use of LibreOffice, which included (but not limited to) spreadsheets, complex text with images, and so on. Expected Results: When copying and pasting even basic text content, this has not been functioning appropriately, as would be expected within my normal, previous, everyday use of LibreOffice. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: "Copied" content should be able to be "pasted" into a LibreOffice document, without any difficulty.
I see you use LibreOffice 6.2 but it's quite an old version, could you upgrade to 7.1.6 ? On which env are you? (Linux, Windows, MacOs) (please indicate version too). Also, could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ?
