I'm assuming the following is a Windows-specific bug. - Open the start center (ie. start soffice without parameters), - Pick Open File, - Switch to a different application, then back to LO and the dialog. => The start center in the background isn't painted. This is a regression that started between 7.1.0.3 and 7.2 beta1. Still bad in LO Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (c2de581d1943df2d84f2b71817b6a8bee41f0217) / Windows.
Regression introduced by the following commit, bibisected using repo bibisect-win64-7.2. Adding CC: to Matt K. https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=1c1226709c6be39c5462f5e6e1262ca630b30b34 author Matt K <mattkse@gmail.com> 2021-04-21 17:34:16 -0500 committer Mike Kaganski <mike.kaganski@collabora.com> 2021-04-22 22:20:55 +0200 tdf#106282 Change Windows File Dialog to run on the main thread
No repro using a recent master dev build: Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 742b8befecbcfc0cfab87cfcd87c83b7d8ef32ab CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded It may be a graphics issue specific to your machine or LO configuration.
Still not able to repro using latest master. Can you upload a screenshot of what the issue looks like? Setting to NEEDINFO since I can't repro.

Now I couldn't repro it either, even when checking out the regressing commit in the bibisect repo. Maybe it had to do with the graphics driver as well. Either way, let's close as WFM.
