Description flywire 2022-01-03 10:25:22 UTC
Description:
Most controls are added to LO forms with a click and drag action which is a slow and inconsistent process.

Steps to Reproduce:
eg https://books.libreoffice.org/en/WG72/WG7218-Forms.html#toc18 - Note: point 3.

Actual Results:
Form controls have no default size or spacing.

Expected Results:
Form design is normally an iterative process. Adding form controls of default size and spacing with a double click would be convenient to help create consistent control sizes. After adding the control the current form position should be moved below the control and default spacing.

Form creation would be more rapid and consistent regardless of user, version, application or OS.

Reproducible: Always

Shapes can be added with their default size by Alt-clicking on the document canvas. It seems logical that form controls could be added this way as well.
