Description Daniel Houx 2022-01-19 12:32:22 UTC
When I hover over a comment, it displays either higher or lower. It depends on the size of the display. The worst is at 110% it is displayed 6 boxes lower.

I have multiple files open and this only happens in one file.

Hi,
Thank you for bug report,

Could you add an attachment of file, where that problem is happening?

And how will a tester know which comment is at wrong position and what is the correct position?

Comment 5 Daniel Houx 2022-01-20 12:36:22 UTC
All command is at the good position.
The problem occurs when I want to display the comment. I place my cursor arrow on a box and the comment appears with a small arrow. This arrow should indicate the box where the comment is located, but it appears elsewhere. Obviously the icon that contains the comment is in the wrong place as well.

Seen for example with M763. No repro 6.2, repro 6.3 and 7.4+. Both Lin Win.
6.2 master is OK, 6.3 oldest doesn't show comment at all (or shows an arrow).

6.2 before https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=7034311dce663c895577267110baadbec312d491 had correct position but didn't show arrow well. After, comment wasn't seen in GTK3.
6.3 oldest had that bug until https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/95e9b7b2d1a5bb6776eef89461b63ab3dc01f34f%5E!/ but this bug remained.
 6.2.

I'm not sure how LO is OK in my 6.2 master when fix was backported.

I just upgraded to version 24.8.4.2.
I have the same problems. Difficulty grabbing and moving the rectangle that contains the comments.
Also, some characters that were black have now become white. I redisplayed them in black and it seems stable as a change.
Last problem. The rectangle that appears at the top right of the cell and indicates that the cell contains a comment is very small and almost invisible.

If I copy the cell to another sheet, I can then select the comment and move it. I can then put it back in the original location.

If I want to edit a comment, the sheet changes lines, it goes down about 15 lines.

This problem is probably from the old version of Libre Office because I opened an old file with Excel and had the same problem with the font color changing.

The problem comes from the "automatic" font color which is selected as white.

Comment 13 Daniel Houx 2025-02-05 13:38:46 UTC
The new version crashes continuously. There is even a bug in the file recovery; I am no longer asked to connect to the printer and the files are not recovered. I have to restart the program and, there, the program recovers the files by asking me to connect to the printer.
I will try to delete this version and go back to the old one.
