This disables any individual paragraph style "Above paragrah" spacing. However there are inevitably paragrah styles which need to be spaced away from top: for example, Book Title, Section number or title, Chapter number etc. Currently, in order to do this, you have to insert a "dummy paragraph" above the relevant paragraph so that its "Above paragraph" spacing becomes operational again. SUGGESTION Add an extra option to the paragrah style dialogue which allows the user to overrule the global setting so that the "Above paragraph" spacing always applies, even when at the top of the page..
Thank you for enhancement request. I agree with the problem. Let's ask design-team for further input and decision cc: Design-Team
In other words you want the compatibility setting to be on each paragraph style. Is this possible, Mike/Regina?
I disagree with the problem. In case when there is such a need, it's better to use a dedicated page style associated with such a paragraph style; and that page style would have whatever you need like custom top margin or header. Having it customizable on paragraph style looks wrong place, since that is rather page property, not paragraph property to me.
Do you agree with Mike's suggestion, R.Green?
In this case, I defer to the experience of the development team. It seems reasonable.
