Description thorsten.nierath 2022-01-21 06:58:23 UTC
I'm using Windows 10 with the standard Microsoft Simplified Chinese Input Method Editor.

The problem occurs when the input method "window" (dialog/display box) is exited without producing a Chinese character. This happens either when pressing "ESC" or "DEL"-eting the input candidate.

The cursor is now "invisible", but otherwise operates as expected, it can be moved, inputs can still be made, but it is not displayed.

Visibility can be restored via returning to the IME's display box and producing a character via "enter" or "space".

Hi Dieter,

I don't use these input methods, I would assume it is the same problem.

Additional Information: The problem does not exist for the official Win 10 Japanese language IME.

O. k. probably a bug, but let's keep it open, if we're not sure for 100%

Hope somebody can fix it, makes it a pain to write Chinese in what is otherwise an excellent piece of software.

UPDATE: bug persists for version: 7.3.0.3
