Description: Several issues with File>Export: 1) From a blank file: "Image filter not found" then "Error saving the document Untitled 1: General Error. General input/output error." Then this happens, I cannot saved it as an ODG file (not responding for a few seconds then back to initial state without being saved) 2) From a non-blank file which has been saved as ODG before If the Exporting a Drawing to export formats (tested with jpg, svg, png) systematically crashes LibreOffice if the chosen file name already exists. Before closing, the following error appears: "Due to an error, LibreOffice crashed" In Safe mode, it just doesnt respond for a while without error message, but nothing is saved. Steps to Reproduce: Issue 1) 1. New File > Draw 2. Export as > choose PNG 3. press OK 4. Error message "Image filter not found" "Error saving the document Untitled 1: General Error. General input/output error." 5. Save 6. Libre office is Not responding, then we are back to the file without having been saved Issue 2) 1. New File > Draw 2. Export as > choose PNG 3. press OK. No problem, the file is sased as PNG. 4. Export as > choose PNG 5. PRess OK and keep the same file name as before. 6. crash message ""Due to an error, LibreOffice crashed" Actual Results: Error message "Image filter not found" "Error saving the document Untitled 1: General Error. General input/output error." or crash message ""Due to an error, LibreOffice crashed" or does not respond (Safe Mode) or not responding Expected Results: Export a file Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Informatipon in "Libreoffice > About" cannot be copy-pasted (macOS)
I cannot confirm it with Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a34c2af04592ca4c0d5247ec80f593c23f905d54 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL I have set "macOS (ALL)" according your last sentence. Please look in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View in section "Graphic Output" whether "Use Skia for all rendering" is checked. If yes, clear the check and restart LibreOffice. Then test export to png again and report result here.
I unticked the option you opint out, restart Libreoffice and it does the same thing. Maybe I should write a new bug issue because it seems to be more general (not only related to Draw, and not only related to Export): In safe Mode, with WRITER or with DRAW I cannot save or export any document. When I press "Save", it is not responding for a few seconds, then it does not open any Window to proceed the saving and comes back to the initial state, as described in issue 1.
Does this make a difference I just discovered that under "(macOS) Settings > Security > Files and Folders", access to the Documents folder was denied for LibreOffice. Once I granted access, opening the file dialogue worked as expected. Source bug 128233 comment 65
@Telesto: I cannot find these settings in MacOS Preferences>LibreOffice>Security (version 7.3.0.3)
And to add more context if it helps: I got this issue as I was on LibreOffice version 5, then I downloaded the latest version to check if it solved the issue and it did not.

Thanks Telesto. I checked and they are already ticked (Files and folders > LibreOffice > "Download folder", "Document folder", "Desktop folder"). I cannot add anymore of them ("+" button grey, even when I've logged in)
(In reply to dhina from comment #0) Testing with Apple M1 Silicon (MacbookPro) Version: 7.3.0.3 for Arm / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0f246aa12d0eee4a0f7adcefbf7c878fc2238db3 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.2.1; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded > 1) From a blank file: > "Image filter not found" then > "Error saving the document Untitled 1: > General Error. I created a file in my Downloads folder from the command line with: touch TestColouredSquare.png then tried to export an already saved ODG file containing a default blue coloured square as PNG. No crash, no error message. Repeated the experiment with various export formats - no crash.
dhina : do you have any links/aliases to network shares in the directories/folders you are trying to export to ?
@Alex: No I don't have. The issue is actually not specific to Draw, it is the same on Writer/Spreadsheat, and is not related to Export only, I have an issue to save new files: When I open any NEW document, I cannot save it. No problem to modify and save a previously created file. Steps to reproduce: 1. New File > Draw 2. Save Actual Results: Does not respond for a few second, then back to initial state Expected Results: Should open the "Save" window Reproducible: Always
@dhina : which version of macOS are you using ? It sounds similar to what people were experiencing in bug 128233, originally with Catalina (10.15), or bug 126409 (also Catalina).
Yes, well spotted! I'm on macOS 10.15. And as bug 128233, I notice that I also cannot open files from the menu!! Looks like this bug has not been resolved since 2019 :-( .... Thanks *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 128233 ***
