Insert a point to a line or a curve it requires to move the mouse a little bit for the action to complete successfully.
It could be very handy if i could place a point to line-curve with a mouse completely still.

Confirmed that, if "snap to grid" is off, inserting a node that does not create a (significant enough?) angle is discarded.
Same in OOo 3.3.
