Created attachment 178751 [details] Webdav Javascript Error Greetings, I noted that on many versions above 6.3. When trying to open a LO document, spreadsheet etc. file on a mounted webdav drive (on Windows 10 21H2), I get the following error messages: This application requires JavaScript for correct operation. Please enable JavaScript and reload the page. Nextcloud Error • App not installed: Nextcloud – a safe home for all your data LO is supposed to just open and read the file, I can't make out what is happening here? Javascript? Once you move the file to a hard drive everything works OK. The fact that the file is on a webdav devices make LO do bizarre things. Please advise. Regards, Stephan
Could you try this: - https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile - upgrade to LO 7.3.1 ? From 7.3 versions, Webdav part is dealt internally completely differently.
Hi, I tested it on a brand new install of Windows 10 21H2 with no other programs installed and the latest LO msi. It looks to me like a collision between LO now featuring distant files and a Webdav drive already mounted. LO seems to believe that the Windows mounted drive was mounted by LO itself...
When you're talking about "latest msi", do you confirm you used 7.3.1 or did you download last LO version from 7.2 branch so 7.2.5 ? (see https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/)
I used the 7.3.1_win_x64.msi, the same phenomena show up on 7.2.5 and 6.4.7.2_Win_x64.msi which I tried earlier
Thank you for the feedback. Michael: thought you might be interested in this one since it concerns Webdav and reported has also tested 7.3.1
"file on a mounted webdav drive (on Windows 10 21H2)" - this means you use Windows Explorer to mount the webdav drive? LO sees it as a local file then, any problem in accessing it is likely between Windows and the server. to use LO's built in Webdav support you need to use File->Open Remote... dialog.
No, the mount is done via net use N: .....
Forgot to mention: other programs such as Notepad, Acrobat etc. have no problems opening files on a mounted webdav drive, LO 6.3.x neither.
.. and it's not just a single PC, we tested it in a school on at least 10 different PCs.
I don't use Webdav at all, can't help here=>uncc myself.
I can't reproduce in Ubuntu 20.04 with: Version: 7.3.7.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e114eadc50a9ff8d8c8a0567d6da8f454beeb84f CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Using and ODT on a webDAV drive mounted in the GNOME file explorer. I could open, modify and save without error. No repro either with a recent master build: Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 9c7d3ce813c761b116232bc291e2737c59d383da CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded SteGil, could you please: - try with version 7.5.2, which received some webDAV and curl updates - paste here the information from Help > About LibreOffice if you can still reproduce the issue Thank you!
